My name is Holly – a wife, mom, sister, daughter, blogger, crafter, baker...the list is ever evolving.
I grew up in a suburb of Detroit, Mi. My father passed away when I was young, so for most of my childhood it was my mom and us girls. I have two sisters: a twin and a younger sister.
I graduated near the top of my class in high school, and with honors from Easter Michigan University. I have always loved reading and learning. I read just about anything, love Sci-Fi, and watch more action movies than my hubs.
Seven years ago I met the love of my life. I can still remember the internal debate about a month after meeting him. I knew I was on the verge of falling for him; my heart was jumping for joy, and my brain was worried about losing control. Even early on, I knew this person was going to change my life. Thankfully my heart was able to convince my brain that it would be an adventure completely and totally worth it.
Three years ago I became a mother. Words cannot express the joy and love that statement encompasses. My son is the light of my life. He has made me strive to become a more fulfilled, complete person. I refuse to set anything but the best example for him that I can. He is my super hero.
Today I am a working mom who is looking for more. More what, I am still trying to define. I have a feeling, though, that this is not a unique place to find myself. Not Done Growing is essentially the log of my quest for happiness and contentment. I hope that the lessons I learn can be helpful to any one finding themselves on the same journey.
I love meeting and learning from new people. Please feel free to comment, follow, or contact me.
